Shopafrolics in September

Posted on

Woah! What just happened? I blinked and suddenly it was October. September has been a crazy month for me personally.  As for Shopafrolics I've been busy planning the types of stock I want to get in for (dare I say it) Christmas. Watch this space for more info!

New stock

During September I stocked up on dresses. So, whether you're looking for a party piece, workwear or just a casual frock we've some great new choices in stock, including the return of some favourites.

We also have lots of gift items arriving this week so make sure you look out for them.

It's feels great to be able to continue to tell you that we're winning awards. We're hoping it means we've been doing something right, and it has been quite a bumper month. At the beginning of the month we won #GirlsWhoCanHour, immediately followed by Promoting Women's Business of the Day.

A few days later I was given the title Legend of Fantabulous Fashion by #Rushhourbiz. This is a fun badge to try and win.  Every Wednesday simply tweet #RHBLegend and explain what makes you are a legend.  The hosts' favourites will be honoured with their own title, and win promo!  Last but not least, at the end of the month I won a badge for my contribution to #MumsinBizHour.  Ambiguous in title this is a fairly new hour on Wednesday eve, to promote all items that would appeal to busy working mums.

A special request

You'll remember a while back I introduced you to my little cutie, Millie. I explained during her blog, that she was made with love by @MadebySteffieB who is saving up for IVF treatment.  Her story is one of heartbreak and courage, so Millie and I wanted to do something to help her not only raise awareness of her fundraising, but also on the important issue of infertility which is so real for many people.

So we put together a thunderclap to help spread the word. I aimed to get 100 people to sign up within 14 days and am thrilled to say that at the time of typing we've reached and exceeded this target.  There is still 5 more days before the campaign is posted out (Thu 8 Oct, 7pm) so if you would like to sign up you can do so here. There is no obligation to donate but adding your social voice to the campaign would be gratefully received.

Other news

As I mentioned September was very busy for me in the personal stakes. I landed myself a new day job which I'll start in November, and we had an offer accpeted on a house.  So, the next few months are going to be jampacked with new adventures (and stress!).  We also took 10 days out to go over to Italy.  I have family over there so it always lots of fun and Ithe hubby and I had a geat time catching up with everyone, as well as getting out and exploring. There were lots of highlights, so I'll be sure to write a blog post about our trip soon!

Until then have a fabulous October.
